Pre-contract package travel information

The information required by Schedule 1 of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, for The Crew Week · Écrins · Sat 9 – Sat 16 Jan 2027. It is provided before you book and repeated in your confirmation email.
1. The organiser
Man on Rock Trips, operated by Redpoint Vision [legal entity, company number and registered address TBC] · hello@manonrock.com. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of the 2018 Regulations, and we are responsible as organiser for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
2. What the package includes
- 6 nights' accommodation: whole house, shared twin rooms, no single supplement.
- All meals, crag lunches included; dietary requirements catered for (asked at booking).
- Airport pickup (Turin, Grenoble or Marseille, arriving by 4pm Saturday) and all in-resort driving.
- Daily venue and conditions planning, with a pre-scouted plan B.
- Photography package: 50+ edited images of you and the crew film.
- On this (Crew Week) departure: no guiding — autonomous climbing, your own party. On guided products, IFMGA guide days as described on the trip page, max two climbers per guide on ice.
Not included: flights (we do not sell or book flights); travel insurance (mandatory — must cover ice climbing and mountain rescue including helicopter evacuation); personal technical kit (hire can be arranged at cost, hire prices not guaranteed); alcohol, drinks and extras.
3. Price and payment
- Total price: £795 per person. No local extra charges beyond personal spending.
- Deposit £200 per person at booking; balance £595 per person due 8 weeks before departure.
- Crew Week bookings are confirmed after climbing-CV review (within 48 hours); if declined, everything you paid is refunded in full.
4. Minimum group size and cancellation
- The trip runs with a minimum of 6 guests (maximum 8). If we cancel for insufficient numbers you will be told no later than 20 days before departure, with a full refund.
- Your cancellation rights and charges are in the booking conditions, §4–5. You may transfer your booking to a suitable person up to 7 days before departure.
5. Suitability
This departure requires that you lead WI3/WI4 or climb solid multipitch trad, have your own ice kit or know exactly what to hire, and are able to choose and retreat from your own routes as an independent party. It is not suitable for beginners and has no reduced-mobility provision; ask us about suitability before booking if unsure.
6. Insolvency protection
The 2018 Regulations require us to protect your payments against our insolvency, and we will not take balance payments until that protection is in place and stated here. [Protection route and provider contact — ABTOT bond or independent trust account — TBC.]
7. Your key rights under the 2018 Regulations
- You receive all essential information about the package before booking, and the organiser is responsible for the proper performance of all included travel services.
- You get an emergency contact number; you may transfer the package to another person on reasonable notice, possibly at a cost.
- The price may only be increased in limited circumstances, never later than 20 days before departure, and you may cancel with a full refund if the increase exceeds 8%.
- You may cancel without charge before departure in the event of exceptional circumstances at the destination that significantly affect the package.
- If, after departure, significant elements cannot be provided, suitable alternatives must be offered at no extra cost; you are entitled to price reduction and/or compensation where services are not performed properly.
- If the organiser becomes insolvent, your payments are refunded under the protection in §6.
